Many of my students are language delayed and often become frustrated because they aren't able to communicate. These children need materials that promote, encourage, and support language development. Some of these materials include interactive books, puppets, story props, manipulatives, bean bag chairs, and art supplies. The children I work with need hands-on materials such as sensory manipulatives, different art supplies to engage them in learning, and bean bag chairs to help them calm down during times of frustration. They also need materials like large dot markers, play and mold sand, magic sketch, magnetic letter tracing, and magnetic color boards to help keep them engaged and interested in learning. These materials also help make learning language fun!
