  • "Constructing" a Strong Future!

    Funded Dec 28, 2020

Thank you all SO very much for your generous donations towards my project. I woke up to an email stating it was fully funded! I cannot wait to share this news with my babies at school. They all love coming to stem class, which makes my heart so happy! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kocurek

  • Mini Mad Masterminds!

    Funded Oct 15, 2018

Thank you ALL so much for supporting and funding my project. My students and I are beyond excited to implement engaging "early finisher" activities in our class. I truly believe students need to see the value in what they are asked to accomplish in school. It's such a vital component in creating successful, hard-working kids who eventually will grow up to be hard-working adults. If you do not see the value in what you do, why do it!

Without you, this would never be possible. THANK YOU!!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kocurek

  • Crack the Code!

    Funded Nov 6, 2018

This particular grant was the beginning of my LOVE for Stem! It is such a great teaching moment to watch your students take charge of something and LEARN so much while doing it. There is nothing more rewarding than to see kids building, creating, and collaborating together while working in groups. The discussion and team work is amazing! Leaving stations open ended allows for students to make their own imaginations run wild, which is so imperative at this age!

Thank you all again for your generous donation for our class.”

    With gratitude,

  • SNAP into STEM!

    Funded Sep 9, 2020

You guys are amazing! I already shared with several classes that this project had been funded within a day! Thank you all so very much! Your generosity is well noticed. You are the reason our class gets to expand their learning environment!

Stay tuned for “Snaps” of our kids working in stem!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kocurek

  • From East Bernard to STEMfinity and Beyond!

    Funded Oct 8, 2018

Since the day our STEM exploration kits and brain games arrived, we have been using them daily! It is amazing how well my class works together when it comes to collaborating on something they have such interest in. Not only are they engaged, they are beyond eager to show me what they have mastered or created.

When the Amazon boxes arrived, my class knew right away what it was. It felt like Christmas morning, and boy was there excitement to be heard! When I first submitted my grant, I had shared with them what I asked for and why. They anxiously waited to hear if the project had been funded.

My top goal is to continue to enhance learning in the classroom, our grade level, and school by showing others how easy it is to get kids engaged in activities such as the ones we received. There is no game too hard for them to figure out. Learning can LOOK and BE fun if you allow it. Students finding relevance and value in what they are asked to learn is vital towards success!

Thank you again SO very much!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kocurek

My students come from a very small town of about 2,000 people. Our town has pep rallys every Friday during FB season and our entire school K-12 attend! This is my first year to teach at this school even though we have lived here for some time. I absolutely love it but our access to the latest and greatest educational resources are limited. Mainly because the funds are not there. I am looking to add a little more excitement and to show my co-workers how small group/work stations are much more effective if you use resources such as technology to grasp the students' attention!
