My students love hands-on learning experiences and everyday I strive to make learning engaging and interactive. One of their favorite times during the week is when we are able to go to the computer lab. This is a time when all students are able to engage in activities geared to their levels and interests. They are able to use the computers to research topics that interest them. Unfortunately, our time in the lab is limited to 40 minutes twice a week. Of the students our school services, 80% qualify for free or reduced lunch. Most of the students in my classroom have no access to technology at home. Technology is become a standard way of life. I want to insure that my students are ready for the challenges of life outside our classroom walls.
