Special and Loved!
Funded Oct 2, 2024Thank you so much for donating and ultimately funding my classroom project, "Special and Loved!" The difference you are making in the lives of our children is immeasurable. The kids love sharing their Star of the Week poster to their peers. Little do they realize that in sharing their poster they are gaining public speaking skills and confidence. They also enjoy receiving the crown, card, and bracelet on their birthday. The attention they get from wearing the crown all day truly makes them feel special. Lastly, we have already had to use the animal ice packs a few times. They love them! It is amazing how quickly they forget the boo boo when I give them one. :)”

We Love STEM!
Funded Dec 15, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom's project, "We Love STEM!" The kids are having so much fun experimenting with all the different ways the marbles can run through the track. It is also nice seeing the teamwork the children have displayed while trying to build different paths. I have even joined in on the fun during their "Play to Learn" time. It is not as easy as one might think to make a working track. It is definitely proof that many hands make light work and two minds are better than one. :)”

We Love Art!
Funded Nov 14, 2023Thank you so much for generously donating to my project, "We Love Art!" I was so excited to receive the materials, but I can't tell you how great it has been since we've gotten and been able to use the materials. The paint pens are awesome. The kids love them and it has been amazing being able to paint with absolutely no mess. However, the daily impact has been from the crayon sharpener. I really had no idea what my classroom has been missing all these years. I no longer have to struggle peeling crayons all day long. Additionally, their work product is better because they have an easier time staying in the line with a sharpened crayon.”

E"special"ly Me
Funded Apr 6, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my project, E"special"ly Me. Your generosity goes a long way in making my students feel special. Since our class received the materials, we celebrated four birthdays and have had three students loose a tooth. Each child was so excited to get a tooth necklace after their tooth fell out. Aside from being cute, the necklace is a great way to make sure the tooth isn't lost before the Tooth Fairy can get it. The birthday crown/bracelet draws all kinds of positive attention to them on their birthday, which they love.”

Funded Nov 30, 2022Thank you so much for generously donating to my project, "Crayon Crisis." I am always very excited when I see a project has been funded, but especially when the project is fulfilling needs instead of wants. It sounds silly, but the students were beyond thrilled when I put out the brand new crayons we received. There is something awesome about having whole crayons with pointy tips that they love. Additionally, the quality of their work improves tenfold when the students have good quality materials. I appreciate all your support.”

Funded Nov 30, 2022Thank you so very much for the refillable paint pallets. The kids are always very excited to receive new materials. We paint all the time in kindergarten and the refillable paints make my life so much easier. I will no longer have to spend my time trying to stretch a color that is practically gone or look through all my paint pallets to find the one that still has the color I need. As I mentioned before, they are also more environmentally friendly as I will not have to throw away an entire paint pallet because one or two colors are missing. Thanks for your generosity and continued support!”

Funded Aug 9, 2022Thanks again for donating to my project, "I am special." I wish you could see the joy that these children feel when they are being celebrated in front of their peers. I have only had a few birthdays so far, but the students are loving the bracelets and crowns. I was excited to receive the magnetic picture holders as well. I am enjoying using them as an easy way for the students to know which center they are supposed to be in and the boys and girls will be using them during math when graphing. So much fun!”

Funded Mar 2, 2022Thank you again for donating to my project, "Lapboard Time." My students love using lap boards at all times of the day, but especially during math and language arts. It has also become one of their go-to free time activities while waiting for others to finish whatever the task at hand is. Additionally, these portable organization stations have increased my student's sense of responsibility as they have made it so much easier for them to independently access and clean up after using the lap boards.”

Funded Jan 2, 2022Thank you again for donating to my project, "Everything in it's Place." These crayon holders have been an awesome addition to my classroom organization. It has been so incredibly helpful for the students to be able to clearly see where each crayon goes and for me to clearly see which crayons need to be replaced/replenished. Kindergarteners can be pretty hard on materials. However, these supply holders from the Lakeshore Learning store are extremely well made and should last for a very long time.”

Do You Want to Play?
Funded Aug 15, 2021The kindergarten students of Room 5 are having such an amazing time playing with all of the toys and games we received through this project. I am not sure which item is their favorite; from the Bristle Blocks, to the Play-Doh, to the card and board games- they love them all. Using their imagination to create, taking turns, learning how to be good "winners" and good "losers" are all important parts of being in kindergarten. This project really hones in on these skills. I also like that they are learning games they have maybe never played before. In a very digital world, simple, fun things, like board games, are, sadly, not not as prevenlant in households as they once were.”
