Having to teach virtually was a huge feat for me and I wanted to ensure that my students received the best. All that was possible because of your donations.
All the donations truly helped with engaging my students and keeping them motivated. They enjoyed the magnetic letters and the white board during my small guided reading groups the most.

This classroom project was brought to life by Stavros Niarchos Foundation and 9 other donors.

I am requesting an easel, chart paper, markers and magnetic letters. Since this pandemic has shifted so many things in the lives of our students and their families, I want to create an experience for my kids, which will allow them to forget about any trauma they may have gone through, for the couple of hours they are with me. My virtual classroom set up will mirror what it was like to be in school, which will give my students a sense of familiarity and normalcy. My hope is that my students will feel like they're attending in-person learning rather than virtual. With these materials, I will be able to provide quality learning for my virtual students. Students will receive fun, engaging, and rigorous instruction, which will promote critical thinking.
