  • Building Literacy with Decodable Readers for Second Grade

    I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for you donation of decodable readers to our classroom. Thanks to your support, my second grade students now have access to decodable readers, which are already making a huge impact on their learning and literacy development.

    These books have provided my students with the tools they need to build their confidence in reading and practice essential skills. I have already seen improvements in their Fluency, comprehension, and enthusiasm for reading. Your contribution has not only helped provide valuable resources, but it has also inspired a love for learning in my young readers.

  • Nurturing Empathy: Social-Emotional Picture Books for Second Graders

    Thank you so much for your generous donation of Social Emotional Learning books for our second grade classroom. My students have loved reading and listening to the stories. Their favorites, by far, have been the Little Spot of Emotions books.

    My students have learned new emotions and coping skills from these stories. The Little Spot books explain these emotions in a developmentally appropriate way. I have had students communicate to me, "I am feeling anxiety," or "This made me feel confident!" Not only have they been able to identify their emotions, but now they can find the books that match their emotions to find coping skills.
