  • Look at Me! I'm in a Book!

    Funded Jun 23, 2021

Your generosity has enabled dozens of students to experience new books in a year of unknowns. These books are being used as interactive read alouds in our classrooms, which is allowing students to have a voice in their learning and see themselves in the texts that are read to them.

Students of all walks of life are being able to enjoy these new additions to our classrooms libraries. In this time of uncertainty, our kiddos have something to look forward to and are increasingly gaining new skills in our read-aloud framework.

Thank you for supporting our continued efforts in bringing diverse texts to our students. The momentum is growing and you can see its effects more and more.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rubach

  • Make Way for Books... Beautiful, Beautiful Books!

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Your generosity has been truly impactful this school year. We all know that this year, in particular, has been especially challenging. By bringing new books into our classrooms, we have been able to bring a special sense of comfort to our students.

Our read aloud library is used by all of our staff to bring each book title to each classroom. Teachers are able to thoughtfully select a book that meets instructional needs, and now more importantly, social-emotional needs of their students. Students light up when these books are read aloud, and by choosing diverse protagonists, we are able to provide a mirror for our students to see themselves in. It is wonderful and so very heartwarming.

Thank you for continuing to make a difference in our students' lives.”

  • Beam Me Up Scotty!

    Funded Apr 19, 2016

Thank you so much for the gift you have given us. When we put the project up, technology was few and far between for our Science classrooms. Today, we are able to use our iPads to help drive instruction and manage presentations within our classroom and in our new Innovation Center. The students are able to control presentations, and use ChromeCast to show students what they have learned and really create a "be the expert" moment.

Students are very excited when the iPad comes out because they know good things are going to happen. Thank you for helping to facilitate this movement into technology. Your gift is very much appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rubach

  • Where Will All of the Books Go?

    Funded Aug 9, 2016

Thank you so much for helping to furnish our classroom. Last Spring, I was able to procure a large amount of Science related books, but had nowhere for the books to be stored. With your help, I am able to help supply wonderful resources for our 6th Grade Science students.

My students are able to get comfy and pick the perfect books to suit their needs. It is wonderful to see their excitement and wonderment when they happen upon a new subject. Thank you again for helping afford the possibility of discovery and making our classroom a wonderful place to be.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rubach

  • The Teeny, Tiny World of Microscopes

    Funded Dec 9, 2011

Thank you so very much for your generous donations. Your thoughtfulness has provided my class with an invaluable experience. The students were so excited to see a great piece of technology come out of the box.

This year we were able to better study the minerals in our Unit by getting a much closer look at the composition of different minerals. We were even able to get a better look at fossils, which the students loved.

The microscope is easy enough for the students to explore on their own, and the class erupts when a new image comes into focus. It is great to see new scientists being developed before my eyes. Thank you for providing the means to make this happen!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rubach

  • Mineral Magic

    Funded Mar 25, 2011

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. By donating to projects such as this one, you make teaching in the classroom an even bigger joy. My students are going to be thrilled when I can go back and show them exactly how "cool" minerals can be.

Please know that your self-less act is benefiting more than 160 students this year and more than 150 students each year in the future. The impact will be huge and I am forever grateful for fine people like you. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!”

  • There are People in Space?! (An Earth Science Library)

    Funded Sep 8, 2010

Thank you so very much for your gift, generosity and kindness. The new Science Book Library lit my student's eyes in such a delightful way. They were so excited to see the great looking, new books for them to devour. New information, fresh pictures and insight have given my students such a wonderful new feel for the field of Earth Science.

In these times, it takes a special type of person to give to others. Your thoughtfulness has gone so much farther than just a smile on one face. This year, 170 students have been impacted by your kindness. New ideas and questions are flourishing as I type this. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart and all of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rubach

My unbelievable students are the reason I get up with a smile on my face in the morning. They are young, curious, and always keep me on my toes. As soon as I hook them on a subject, questions come flying at warp speed. They are survivors, many coming from homes that don't have much. They support themselves, their siblings, but above all, each other. Our school is made up of over 75% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. For many, breakfast and lunch at school is the only food they get in the day. At home, my students are often on their own. Though this is not the case in all of our families, I strive to be there for everyone as much as I can. In my class, I try to give each student a safe place to learn. I strive to make my room a place where dreams are dreamed and futures are realized.
