My physics classes have a variety of different students that range from accelerated freshman to seniors with a blend of males and females. These students typically choose physics because they have strong math skills and/or they are getting ready for a science related career. I currently teach science in a school district that has approximately 1500 students with a limited but growing minority population. The school has a student population of approximately 550 and is currently on a block schedule which divides our day up into 4 blocks of 90 minute periods. I teach several different courses, physical Science, earth Science, physics, honors physics, and AP environmental.
