My students are caring, generous, and driven. They come to school each day ready to learn. Some of them come to school fully dressed and with a full belly. Others come to school wearing clothes that barely fit and with an empty stomach because they haven't had a meal since lunch time the previous day. The parents are very supportive and do as much as they can. Unfortunately, most of my students come from single family homes where the adult has to work two to three jobs just to get by. My school is Title 1 and we were in turnaround last year. As a staff, we worked extremely hard to build the moral and increase test scores to get out of turnaround. It turns out all of that hard work paid off. We went from turnaround to improvement in a years time. We wouldn't have grown so much if it wasn't for the hard work and dedication of our students and staff. Now we need your help to continue this journey of success.
