The students in our school live below the poverty line. Over 98% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. Our school is 94% African-American, 2% white, and 4% Hispanic. Our school has been in improving the test scores for several years. As we have made strides to expose our students to the offerings of the Atlanta area. Our school had been an alert school due to our test scores. The news show is a connection to the real world. Many do not travel more than 5 miles past the community due to transportation issues. The Media Center in our school serves the entire community because the public library in our community is under construction.
