Lotus School for Excellence here, a Title 1 school in the Aurora Public School District. Not only is our population diverse, students here have over 64 native languages! There is a sense of pride here, students who really do try their best to listen and follow directions, to absorb information and become readers who truly appreciate the expanding world around them. In our classroom students are ready and welcome to share new ideas. They help in the community, giving of their time and talent in a population that includes some of the most culturally diverse in the state: Hispanic, African-American, Asian-Pacific, and those of European ancestry. Sadly, they can rarely leave home except in books -- help us travel in books! I am the Gifted and Talented Coordinator here, serving elementary and secondary grades at this Charter School. We seek to bring every academic opportunity to our hard-working, bright minds!
