Brain Break Time!
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for the brain break activities. When my students saw all of the games that they can share and play together during brain break times they could not believe it. The smiles and excitement of their faces was really more than I could ask for. They are taking very good care of these materials so that other kids in the future can also use them. My students really enjoy playing the games and it gives them a little break from learning. They look forward to these brain breaks activities at least once a day. It motivates them to work hard because then they can take a break. Thank you again for your generosity! We are so grateful.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donation. When it arrived at school, my students were so eager and excited to use it. This week in school, a few students used it to research a famous inventor who had to work hard to be successful. They found some valuable information on Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Sarah Breedlove Walker. They were able to use this device to email information to themselves as well as share it with the class. Another group of students used the device this week to log on to I-Ready which is a reading and math program that we have in our school. Students logged on and completed their assigned lessons in reading and math.
We are lucky enough to have chrome books in our classroom, but we only have 15 of them, which are not enough for all my students. The iPad is a great addition to our classroom because students can easily pick it up and use it throughout the day and not wait to log on. My students and I are so happy and we thank you for making such an important contribution to our class. Thank you again!!!”

Students from all around the world have had so many struggles and challenges since the COVID pandemic hit. I knew that this year had to be different for them. I wanted my students to feel safe, develop that passion for learning again and love coming to school. I also knew that my students were arriving with many emotions and challenges that had to be addressed. The books that you have helped provide to my students have become the platform for our learning this year. The students love listening to these stories and have learned so much about themselves and others. They look forward to our SEL time and are always so curious to know which book we will be reading next. They have even shared some of these great stories with family members and friends. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you so much!!! Happy Holidays! ❤️”

Funded Sep 10, 2021Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and for thinking of my students. My students have been loving the magazines and the different content that they find in them. So far, we have read a fiction story, a non fiction passage and have even read a play together! I love to see how excited my students get when I tell them that we will be reading a story from StoryWorks. They are so engaged and love reading the stories. The best part of it is that they get to keep the magazines and read their favorite stories again. They have been sharing these great stories with their siblings, friends and other family members. The online component is absolutely amazing. It allows me to differentiate for my students and find the perfect passages for them on their level. These magazines offer a little bit of everything for everyone. Thank you so much again!!!!”

Funded Oct 15, 2019Thank you so much for your amazing donation. Our classroom library is full of new and high interest books for our students. When the box first arrived, my students waited anxiously for me to open the box and show them the books. The girls in the class were so happy when they saw the Dork Diaries Set because in our classroom we only had one Dork Diaries book and the girls had to share. Thanks to your donation, the girls are now able to read each book from this amazing series. And for the boys, WOW! They became super excited when they saw the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, Big Nate Books and the other high interest books that they have been wanting to read. They are so happy and immediately borrowed the books from the classroom library. Your donation will motivate students to continue to read every day and develop the love for reading that we want them to have. It is so nice to see the children sharing books, talking about characters, the story line and the theme of the books. Thank you so much for this special gift. We greatly appreciate it!”

Funded Oct 14, 2019Thank you so much for your donation. When the package arrived, my students and I opened the boxes together and the look on their faces was priceless. Many of them have never had a planner before and it was a big deal for them. They were so excited to copy their homework on the planner and begin writing down important due dates. Thanks to you, my students will be able to keep themselves organized for the remaining of the school year and use the planner on a daily basis. Thank you so much for this amazing contribution.
Our next steps for our students is to help them become responsible students by being aware of important due dates and events coming up. Since the students are in the 5th grade, and will be graduating at the end of the school year, there is a lot going on in the school for them. They will be able to keep track of all the events happening throughout the year by using these amazing and colorful planners!! We thank you again!!!”
