Kindergarten, Here We Come!
Funded Aug 29, 2023These new resources have been so helpful to keeping our classroom organized and helping to improve our math skills.
We use your donations everyday in our classroom. Children love math time because they get to play math games. With your help, we were able to add more math games to our collection, giving them more opportunities to practice their math skills.
We use our colored charts and bins daily to let us know where to go during literacy centers. It makes for a seamless day!
We are eternally grateful for your generosity !”

Let's Get Our Readers Geared Up for 1st Grade!
Funded Nov 2, 2015We are thrilled to be using the new resources we received on your behalf. My students are loving the independent time they get to create many word families all on their own, not to mention that they get to use a dry erase marker as well! (It's the little things). We are really pushing my kiddos to be independent during reading time, while students are in different groups learning different things. Our new resources allow them to practice on the word work skills they are learning in guided reading. They then can transfer that information to their independent centers. They absolutely love challenging themselves to see how many words they can make! Our comprehension passage books allows me to differentiate homework that is giving students necessary test prep skills as well. They love the stories; they are fun, inviting, and hold their attention!
My kiddos were beyond excited to see these new resources. Anything that comes into our classroom that they've never had a chance to use before makes them so thrilled!
We are really looking forward to continuing to grow our brains as the year continues. We are anxious to add many more books to our classroom library so our kids can continue to love to read!”

Help Our Inner City Children Love to Read!
Funded Dec 19, 2014My students are beyond excited to be using their new listening center! Each day they are so eager to read new stories read by different people. This listening center has provided my students with so much. Not only can they take time to enjoy a book read by someone other than myself, they can hear people read fluently. We practice everyday to sound like an adult when we read, reading in groups of words at a quick pace. After they have read the story through one or twice, each child is expected to work on comprehension questions that really get them to THINK about what they've just read. Not only are they getting extra practice as readers, they are learning to take responsibility of things that belong to them. It's great to see how careful they are with the books, the headphones and tapes. My children are becoming such stronger and responsible readers because of all of you. We can never be grateful enough. We are so thankful and appreciative for all you have given to help us achieve our classroom dream.”

Mrs. Vogel
