Just Keep Moving!
Funded Sep 15, 2017Words cannot express the amount of gratitude that the children and i have for your very generous donation. Thanks to your generosity we are able to have a more diverse physical education time where the children can use the skills that they know and are trying to build using the items we were able to obtain. Please know that for years to come by students will be able to use and enjoy the physical education equipment that we received. We have also decided to share our wealth with our team kindergarten class that we play with. Thank you again for your kindness.”

A Clean Classroom Is A Happy Classroom
Funded Aug 24, 2017Thank you so much for your very generous donation. The children were so excited this morning when the boxes filled with our goodies arrived. Upon opening them the children were already making plans for the variety of games that they could play using the balls. The hula hoops were equally appealing and immediately found excited hands. At PE the children practiced bouncing the balls, playing catch, and four square. The excitement in their eyes and voices were so awesome and heart warming. With your gift to our class the children for years to come will have the necessary tools to help them meet the kindergarten standards.”

Let's STEM out in Kindergarten!
Funded Dec 30, 2016It is with gratitude that I send this thank you your way. Without your support my students would not have had the opportunity to experience Science in a hands on way that they were able to. To see the children thrive and show their excitement through their hands on learning is a goal that I had in mind at the beginning of the school year. With your donation I was able to provide that opportunity for my students. I am so excited to have the chance to continue to use your STEM donations with my future students and know that with your support children will benefit from this gift for many years to come.”

Letting Children Move While Learning!
Funded Dec 30, 2016This letter is just a small token of my gratitude towards you for your donation to the students in my classroom. The STEM Science kits that were donated have been greatly appreciated. The amount of interest that it has brought to the children is irreplaceable.
Our school is currently facing a budget shortfall and your donation has helped to supply hands on Science tools that my children would otherwise not have received. I cannot wait to continue to use these kits to further my Science instruction with my current students as well as for years to come.”

Movement in the Classroom While Learning
Funded Jun 13, 2016Thank you donors for your generous donation. Thanks to your giving heart my students are able to learn outside of the box unlike traditional learning. They are able to sit in ways they have never had the chance to. I can see that they are able to sit and work for longer periods of time with the ability to move around and rock. The children love that they are able to choose the seat that works best for them for that day or even that moment. As a result of your donation my students have found many ways to use your donation from reading upon them to writing, completing their math, or even to exert their extra energy by spinning during play time. Thank you again for your everlasting gift.”

Making Science Memories
Funded Mar 17, 2016Upon receiving our Donor's Choose box the children were very excited. The donation was a surprise to them so they weren't sure what to expect. Once I explained that the box contained materials that we could us for our current science unit Pushes and Pulls they had a variety of suggestions on what it could be. Once they saw the supplies they couldn't wait to get their hands on the goodies. I allowed them a first chance glance to explore the equipment and then make a plan for further instruction. I used their suggestions and designed a series of lessons to follow that included exploration, and then specific lessons that allow choice but still result in the implication of the Next Generation standards. With your donation my students have had the opportunity to meet the standards in a way that is meaningful to them. Thank you for your generous donation.”

This classroom project was brought to life by #BestSchoolDay and 4 other donors.Help Save Art !
Funded Sep 4, 2014Thank you for your very generous donation. We are ever grateful for the contribution you have made to the learning that is occurring in our classroom. The look on the students faces as we opened our new found treasure was priceless. Automatically the children began making plans for the projects they were going to create. It was great to see that even my shyest students had input to give on what they would like to create.
The students in my classroom are very excited to use the Cameo to demonstrate their thinking and talking during reading response time. We have also been able to utilize the Cameo to create pattern books for our beginning readers as well as Fall art projects that are created during free choice time.
The children have used the cameo as a learning tool mostly during reading time. We created thinking and talking bubbles and placed them on popsicle sticks. The children are then able to think about what sorts of sentences are thinking and which are talking. I have noticed the partner conversations have grown tremendously. Once the children were able to vocalize their sentences it became easier for them to write their thoughts down on paper.
Once again we are very thankful for your generous donation that we will endlessly use.”
