My students are incredible. Most of my students come from a very low socioeconomic background. A lot of them have endured such heartache at such a young age (e.g. death of a parent, parent in jail, living in and out of foster homes, homeless) you name it, one of my students have lived it. I try and provide them a safe, happy and caring environment. Though they have been through some pretty difficult tasks, they all are opened minded and want the best for their future. I am trying to invest in them, teach them how valuable and important they are. They are eager to learn, and would just THRIVE with these materials. The overall population of the school is the same (low socioeconomic background). The students at my school are sweet, caring, considerate, generous and eager to strive. They are all scholars who have the potential to be college bound. Having these materials would help send them in the right direction to becoming a successful, happy adult who strives in everything.
