I teach in a school where the class sizes range from 24-29 students, and each one is on their own reading level with varying strengths in Math and a wide range of passion for subjects like Science and Social Studies. With so many minds to grow, it certainly takes dedicated teamwork full of creative ideas and a reach-for-the-stars attitude to achieve the undertaking. My school is one that commits to fostering technology and utilizing any strategy or intervention necessary to help a child grow to his or her full potential. The administration works incredibly hard to support the teachers' needs in any and all capacities, but sometimes the budget simply doesn't allow for teachers to use best practices due to limited materials available. That being said, I want to take the initiative to support obtaining resources for my school by gaining these items for my classroom. Also, I desire to challenge my fifth-grade students and show them just how much they and their learning are valued.
