Wanted: More Copy Paper!
Funded Mar 7, 2010Your donation to my class has helped a great deal! With the boxes of copy paper I have been able to do several more activities with my students. I have also been able to vary the daily lesson plans as we continue with the curriculum and the concepts of science. Having note sheets, handouts, and study guides is vital to learning the difficult concepts in class. You have truly enhanced my classroom and made a difference every day in my lessons.
My students are grateful that they each get their own copy of assignments, instead of class sets. They also enjoy the foldables we do in class, as they use the information in class to make books.
Your generosity has helped all of my classes. It is vital to have copy paper, and you have supplied us for the rest of the school year. Thank you for your support!”

Funded Feb 12, 2010Thank you so much for the class set of scientific calculators! Your donation has greatly enhanced my chemistry class! Several of my students were previously sharing calculators, and some were not even getting the chance to work out the problems for themselves. My students now have their own calculators to use when we are doing problems in class. They also have a calculator for their homework assignments.
The new, current periodic table is hanging proudly in the back of the room. It is wonderful having a current table to use in class, and not one that is outdated, or a small poster-sized one, no one can read.
All of your generosity has improved my chemistry class a great deal. You have helped my students become independent in their work. Thank you for your funding, and your support of my students!”

Funded Dec 31, 2009Thank you so much for my mini-laminator! I love it! It is wonderful to use in my classroom. I have laminated student work, posters, graphic organizers, notices, and classroom items (like instructions for an activity). By having this laminator I am able to preserve many items, and use them in years to come. I am excited to use it more as my students are beginning to prepare for their end of year exam. I will be using the laminator a great deal for flash cards, learning stations, and lab instruction sheet.
You have greatly enhanced my classroom with your generosity. Thank you for supporting not only my classroom, but science education!”

More Labs for More Learning
Funded Oct 15, 2009Thank you so much for your funding of my project "More Labs for More Learning". My biology students really enjoy doing lab activities with our lessons. They like the hands on experience, and have a better understanding of the concepts. Your donation provided us with some new genetics lab activities that have been fun! The poster you sent has also been a great help as we learn about genetics, Mendel, and Punnett squares. You have enhanced my classroom and my students' understanding of biology as they prepare for our End of Course Exam in April.
With the labs and materials you have donated to our class, my biology students have a better understanding of genetics. Thank you for your help and support!”

Funded Sep 14, 2009Thank you so much for your generous donation to my science classes! The poster sets you have purchased are wonderful! They have been a great help to my students. I have incorporated them in several lessons, and have used them often. My environmental science class loved the posters of the different biomes as we learned about the different places in the world. My biology students used the cell poster set several times as we did poster projects, worksheets, notes, and learning stations.
These posters are a great visual aid to my science classes. They have been a great help with my visual learners, and with having examples to use in class. Thank you for helping my class, and supporting science education in public schools! My students and I greatly appreciate your generosity!”

Funded Nov 19, 2009Thank you so much for the much-needed supplies for my classroom! Your donation came just in time for final projects. My students got the opportunity to make their own biology books, covering all of the material from first semester as opposed to a final exam. Their projects turned out wonderfully! I hope you enjoy the pictures of them working hard on the various projects we have used the paper for.
With all of the paper, I have also been able to print out their progress reports with missing assignments to help the students turn in all of their work, and improve their grades. I have also done extra foldables, note sheets, and graphic organizers. Your help and support is greatly apprectiated in all of my classed. Thank you! ”

Funded Sep 13, 2009Thank you very much for the new books for my biology class! These resources have helped my students tremendously!
I have used the books to make visual aids, notes, and for assignments. After taking their first test, I can see how much these books are helping. All of my students are enjoying the material, and I am able to make the subject more entertaining with these books. The cartoon guides have been used multiple times by my students. They enjoy the pictures coinciding with the information, and the examples the book gives.
Your donation has helped me to reach all of my students, and develop alternative assignments. Thank you for your help and support! You have really made a difference in my classroom!”

Funded Oct 15, 2009I greatly appreciate your donation to my science classes. the Mino Flip Video recorder you purchased for my class has been put to great use. The students love to do skits. My environmental science class made public service announcements concerning endangered species. They were wonderful, as the students informed fellow students of different animals who are in danger of becoming extinct. They have also used the video recorder for their presentations in class.
I hope you enjoy the pictures of my students as they work on various projects and skits. They all love the new technology in our classroom. The video recorder has allowed my students to do new, exciting, and various projects. It has really enhanced my classroom instruction. I cannot wait to keep using it in future lessons. Thank you for your support of my class and science education in public schools!”

Funded Sep 14, 2009I truly cannot begin to thank you enough for the wonderful donation of the LCD projector to my classroom! Your generosity has completely changed my classes and lesson plans. I have been able to add numerous fantastic presentations and examples to my class. I am able to make PowerPoint presentations with vocabulary words, notes, and pictures to help my students have a better understanding of the material. I have also been able to show great video clips from the Internet depicting volcanoes, earthquakes, and the different biomes of the world. I have also been able to show documentaries to my classes concerning topics covered in class.
My classes love the review games on the overhead, the many different videos, and the PowerPoints. The projector has also aided in making my classroom more like a college classroom and bring the college environment to my teaching. Thank you for all of your help and support of my class!”

Funded Oct 15, 2009Thank you very much for the frog dissection lab! Your donation helped to fund a lab activity for my students. Today, I got to watch my class become real scientists and zoologists as they put on their goggles and aprons to cut open the frogs. Students who were appalled by the idea, became the leaders in their lab groups. My students had a wonderful and educational experience, as they have never had the opportunity to do a dissection of any type before today.
You have given my students an opportunity that many students have every year. By completing a dissection lab, my students are now better prepared for their college science laboratories. My students are now comfortable with dissection tools, and the process of dissection.
I greatly appreciate your generosity towards my class. My science students had an amazing lab today, and loved every second of it! Other students, not in my class, kept stopping by to observe and see just what was going on that was so much fun! Thank you for making science enjoyable for my students!”
