Plastic pollution and childhood obesity are two epidemics our country is facing. We will use project-based learning combine lessons about the plastic pollution crisis and lifelong fitness as a foundation for this ongoing project. Students will be encouraged to take pictures of their progress to share what they've cleaned up, and our school can use this documentation to encourage further positive connections within our local community. I hope to encourage a focus on stewardship and functional fitness that they can take with them beyond their years in middle school. Thank you for considering supporting this project!
