Our world and children has evolved. Children are very tech savvy nowadays. Learning through lecturing can become very boring for children. Children engages in learning in various ways today. Our goal is to make learning fun as much as possible.

Flocabulary is a program that highly engages the learner. Flocabulary taps on various subjects. They provide learning the content subject areas through hip hop. This program is interactive. What is also great about it is it provides assessments for the content which is being taught.

Students who were shy about learning and participating are now highly engaged and can't wait to be called upon to interact with Flocabulary. So once again , thanks for making this possible for our students.”

  • Let's Slam Learning Through Musical Beats

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Many of my students have benefited from Flocabulary in all academic areas. Our students are extremely engage when participating using this learning app.

Many of our students express they like learning this way because it teaches you different concepts but through using raps and musical beats. The videos assist with the engagement process. Students are able to interact with the questions via the smartboard.

Students also are able to create musical beats each time they get a question correct.

It provides a review and exposes the kids to the lessons vocabulary as well. The children also enjoy the quiz that it provides because they can share their responses.

Our student's love all the variety of beats that Flocabulary creates. The beats are very catchy and it helps the students remember the steps and skills of the lesson that is being presented.”

  • Stay Thirsty My Friend, NOT!

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

My students were ecstatic when they received our cases of water. Due to COVID , our students are not allowed to drink from the water fountains.

By providing each student with their individual bottles of water, we are allowed to keep our COVID cases low in our school. Each individual student when they are thirsty is allowed to retrieve a bottle of cold water to rehydrate them.

Not only we are using the bottles of water to rehydrate ourselves but we are also studying how to keep our environment clean and safe. The children are also recycling the water bottles.

Class 5-213 is very gracious and will like to thank all our donors who contributed to help end our thirst and make drinking water safe.”

  • Engaging All Types of Learners Through Music!

    Funded Mar 1, 2019

My students were ecstatic when they heard the news that we had a year subscription for Flocabulary. Flocabulary offers a variety of ways of grasping various concepts in ELA, Math Science and Social Studies. It helps engage all learners. It makes learning fun!

My students are able to listen to lessons being taught through music. The music calms them as well as engage them in the learning process. It's very interactive. The children are able to create musical beats when they answer the questions correctly. They love this part!

As well as creating beats, Flocabulary provides an immediate progress monitoring which shows their understanding of the concept being taught. All the learners are presented with the opportunity to participate. Even the shy and timid students in my class are eager to participate. They love to take the quizzes and the quizzes provided immediate feedback. The students are able to see what they need to continue to study if they get the questions wrong and helps them to see if they have mastered the concepts.

The great thing about Flocabulary is it engages everyone and provides plenty of practice to help them master the skills at hand. Once again to all our donors, we greatly appreciate your contributions.”

  • Read to Succeed!

    Funded Nov 27, 2018

My class was so happy when they received their new library. They all joined in to prepare their new library with their various reading materials. Many of the students are engaged in reading their books for leisure because they all are participants in a program called "Read to Succeed" . Our new books provided students the opportunity to read books for enjoyment to meet their reading requirements of six hours of reading for pleasure.

We are also preparing students for the fourth grade science state test. Part of our new library contains stem books. Students were excited to see topics that match what they are learning in stem.

My class loves the series books such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants and the comic books. On Friday afternoons a time is set aside for them to curl up and read a good book for enjoyment and they are loving it! We are very grateful for all your donations to help make our library come to life with new and exciting books. Once again we will like to say Thank You!”

My goal this year is to increase my students' interest in reading. My students need a variety of books that will increase their interest in reading. Diversity is the key! Providing my students with engaging books that peek their interest will be great. Reading books of interest will help increase their vocabulary and reading stamina. Once they get interested in their topic of choice they will want to cuddle up with their books and escape into the world of words. My goal is to also establish book clubs and engage my students in meaningful discussions. By supporting this project, you will be providing many of my students not only the opportunity to read in school but they will have the opportunity to read at home as well. Many of our students don't have literature to read at home for their pleasure. You will play a key role in providing this opportunity for many of our children. We are thankful for your contribution.
