  • Books That Make Kids Go OOohhh!

    Our new books were added to the classroom library a few weeks ago, and the kids are still buzzing about them.

    A few of my hesitant readers have been hooked by some of the sillier series like "Captain Underpants" and "Dogman." I see them chatting about the books at snack time, and passing their favorites to each other.

    Some of my girls have really enjoyed having books with female leads, especially The Princess in Black series that encourage them to be bold and brave. They may have been displaying some more ninja moves since these books hit the shelves.

    Books can be mirrors, allowing kids to connect with characters. They can also be windows that allow them to learn about people from different walks of life. Reading can also boost mental health and cognitive acuity. The gift you've given my kids is the joy of reading, one I hope that lasts them well into their adult lives.”

  • Nonfiction Books My Students Will Drool Over!

    I hope I can really convey the impact you've had on my students. The excitement around picking books has skyrocketed. My kids are chomping at the bit to get their hands on our new books. Their parents have even expressed gratitude for providing books that, dare I say, tear them away from video games for a bit.

    Not only are they excited to crack open the books, but to share the information they learned with their classmates as well. The morning buzz is filled with cool facts about their favorite topics like Ronaldo and Messi, komodo dragons, and ofcourse, Roblox. When I hear kids say, "You HAVE to read this book," my book-loving teacher heart just about explodes.

    We truly appreciate you helping our little second grade classroom. It means more than you know!”

  • Math Can Be fun...with the Right tools.

    Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students are having fun while they're learning, and it's making a big impact!

    When I first pulled out the ten frame dice for games, there were oooh and ahhhhs. I can't tell you the feeling I get when kids are enjoying learning. When students are asked to work in a small group with me, they're excited because they know I'll make it engaging with materials like the place value flip charts. They're already spotted some of the materials for upcoming units with time and money, and can't wait to use them as well!

    These materials have transformed the way I teach, and will not only have impact on current students' outcomes, but future classes as well.”
