Our high school provides many academic and career opportunities to a 75% low income and 95% Hispanic population. Our students deserve the best, but are often limited because of financial and social issues. Support is needed to provide supplies in order to make learning more fun and engaging. I have requested supplies like poster paper, markers, scissors, and glue so that my students can create posters and presentation boards during Algebra 1 class. Students gain a lot from practicing teaching their peers and are more involved in learning when given a project. I have also requested composition books so that my students can keep an "interactive" notebook. This is a teaching technique using markers, colored paper, glue, and scissors. Students create foldables to summarize learning in a succinct way. Colors are used to emphasize key points. Vocabulary graphic organizers are made to help students with acquisition of academic vocabulary. Many of our students are ELL, so this is vital
