Environment shapes experience, and that's no less true in the classroom. When work needs to get done, many students prefer to find a spot to meet their individual needs rather than stay seated in a desk. It may be at a table, in a quiet corner, or on a beanbag chair where they work the best. Many students also have challenges with being prepared or paying attention. Being able to move and change seating can eliminate the behavior issues that may arise. Students spend a lot of time in the classroom, and it's important that they have what they need to get work done. These students are learning that a classroom is not just within the four walls of a classroom; learning continues in all types of environments. It doesn't have to be a place that is orderly and uncomfortable, and they shouldn't have to stress about having the materials they need to get their school work done. These items will help create a learning environment suited for a variety of needs and create a place to propel students forward within their educational journey without material roadblocks. Please consider helping me lay the foundation for success for these students within my classroom!
