The students come to my room for small groups. They are at the table working for thirty minutes. Many of the students are constantly rocking in their chairs and need different seating options to help them focus. I want to provide seating choices and teach them how to choose what helps them learn best.
I want my students to be comfortable, own their learning, and have fun. The items that I am requesting include the following flexible seating options: padded chairs, ball chairs, wobble chairs, two-legged stools, and bouncy bands for chairs. Students will have options to be comfortable and more focused on their reading when I meet with them in groups at the table for guided reading instruction every day. Also, I am requesting a dry erase kidney table for my reading groups. This will be a fun way for my students to complete spelling and vocabulary work.
I believe my students can grow and accomplish anything and flexible seating will help them grow in even more ways. Thank you so much for your support! It will mean the world to these kids and for many kids to come!
