Comfy Research Adventures
Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for your donations to this project and helping our vision become reality! As the packages started coming in, students were excited and anxious to use the materials right away.
We have flexible seating in our classroom and this year with 28 students, the floor seats have made it possible for more students to spread out around our room and work in areas they feel more comfortable.
The ipad has been a wonderful addition to our classroom as well. Specifically, when students have laid out work but did not have enough time to copy the work down before having to clean it up, they have used the ipad to take a picture and save their work.
We spent the first quarter of school learning about cells and the models and poster were excellent resources! Students were about to tell each other about different parts of a cell as well as identify the main differences between plant and animal cells.
Again, thank you for your kindness and generosity!”

Funded May 10, 2023Thank you for your continued support of our classroom projects and ideas. As always, the class was so excited to open the boxes and see the new materials in the flesh. We spent a good deal of time studying countries from around the world and now having the biome maps, the students are eager to expand their knowledge about the climate and habitats in the many regions of the world. The "Animalium" and "Historium" books are great resources of information for students to discover more about the countries they choose to study.
These materials will be used for years to come with so many students and we are grateful for your kindness and generosity!”

Funded Aug 22, 2022We are so fortunate to have you in our corner, supporting our classroom endeavors! We appreciate your kindness and generosity that helped fund this project and look forward to using these materials to assist our science and cultural studies.
Ecology and World Religions are a major part of our Montessori Science and Cultural curriculum this year. We are excited to build our own ecosystems and learn about how organisms live and interact with each other within their environments. The Life Science and ecosystem books are a great resource for the research students will undergo. Additionally, with so many religions represented in our world today, we are extremely grateful to have the World Religions books to help us gain a better understanding of the many faiths represented across cultures.
Again, this project was made possible by all of you and we want you to know we appreciate and value your commitment and support of our educational goals!”

Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity and support! My class and I appreciate your willingness to donate to our cause at the start of this school year,
Organization is crucial in the Montessori Classroom where students have the freedom to choose work and the liberty to use materials within the classroom as they are purposed. The items from this funded project have helped us to keep our materials neatly organized on shelves where students have unlimited access. Our new mailbox system has enough spaces for our entire class to have their own slot and is so sturdy the kids can get their papers out and not have to worry about the shelves falling out. We love our new binder shelf as well, which gives students more space to store other items in their cubby!
With these materials, our class is going to have no trouble at all staying organized. In the process, they will play an integral role in giving back to our classroom community as they take care of these materials and our environment. And we have you to thank for that!”

Funded Oct 1, 2019Thank you so much for your donations! Having lunch in our classrooms this year has come with its own set of challenges and having the materials to make our own placemats a great way to teach grace and courtesy in the Montessori environment.
From choosing their fabric to pinning them together and learning how to work the sewing machine, this was no easy feat. Nonetheless, these kids were up to the challenge! Many of them are already planning to use our new sewing machine for other projects in the future.
We appreciate your support of this project and want you to know the addition of these materials in our program has enriched our class and enhanced student achievement. Thank you all!”

Sy"STEM"atic Discoveries
Funded Oct 10, 2018Thank you so much for the funds to support our classroom learning. The students are very excited about all of the materials we have been able to use so far this year. The language materials have helped them to strengthen their vocabulary independently and have enriched their language development. My children love the Flexible Comfy seats and are loving the fact that they can do their carpet work more comfortably. My students are thrilled to be exploring other cultures around the world with the map, continent and animal books and ancient civilization materials.
The kids were so excited when the boxes started coming in! They couldn't wait to get their hands on the materials. This was the first year we tried having a community supply of mechanical pencils and the class was beyond overjoyed with the supply you provided for us with the funding. They were also anxious to program the new mini Spheros since they have experience with the later models.
Again, thank you so much for your generosity and donations towards our classroom efforts. We are exploring and working with new materials each week and the class is anxious to start exploring the STEM sound, electricity, and energy activities.”

Funded Jan 26, 2018This was an amazing trip! Thank you all so very much for helping make this such a successful trip. The kids had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the hands on learning experience!
Everything seemed to go smoothly from the moment we set foot on the bus. The weather was nice and we were able to stop half way to Kenai and enjoy the view of the mountains while having lunch. Although the kids did ask several times, "Are we there yet," it was still a pleasant ride.
As soon as we arrived at the Challenger Center, the learning began. Our classes learned all about rocket engineering and the science behind making ice cream. What we really enjoyed about these activities were the hands on activities. Students made their own rockets and launched them out in the yard. Each student was able to make ice cream, and pic the color and flavor. Many of them have taken what they learned about making ice cream and have tried to make it at home. Because of your donations, we were able to take trip to the pool one evening and that was the icing on the cake.
Again, we want to express our sincere gratitude for helping to make this happen by donating to the project. This was a memorable experience for us all!!”

Mrs. Austin

Funded Dec 13, 2017I want to start by saying thank you so much for your generous donations. These tiny robots have made a huge impact on our class! The students were all excited when they learned we would be getting some in our class and were super eager to get them out and explore with them once they arrived.
Students have worked to learn different ways to program the Spheros while having fun racing and challenging each other in their free time. It has been wonderful to see them tackle new obstacles when learning how to create programs that work and learn to maneuver around objects and obstacles.
These have been a wonderful addition to our classroom and we are all very appreciative to you for helping make this dream a reality, thank you!!!”

STEMulation Motivation
Funded Oct 5, 2017Thank you so much for the funds to support our classroom learning. The students are very excited about all of the materials we have been able to use so far this year. The science materials have been especially helpful in providing a visual representation of the Engineering and building structures. They trying to solve real world problems in the science kits we received.
We have been able to use these resources in a variety of ways. As mentioned before, our class was desperately in need on new seating and the stools were a great way to provide seating without taking up too much extra space. We have new life in our fish tank and the filter helps keep it nice and clean. More students are able to do on dictionary detective work with the extra dictionaries we received. The STEM kits have been especially great as they are helping the students learn about science and technology in hands on creative ways.
Again, thank you so much for your generosity and donations towards our classroom efforts.”

STEMulated Montessori Minds!
Funded Oct 17, 2016Thank you so much for the funds to support our classroom learning. The students are very excited about all of the materials we have been able to use so far this year. The science materials have been a big hit and our class is enjoying being able to work on projects independently. A group of them made painted paper and a few other students made wind compasses.
When the materials first started coming in the students we so excited and couldn't wait to open up the boxes. Many of them helped organize them and put labels on everything. Again, all of the science experiment books were the hot topic of conversation. Students began to write lists of supplies they needed for projects on the board and were sure to remind me daily to get what they needed. Many of the math materials have helped my students become more confident in number sequencing and counting. The building blocks and manipulatives are the first choice my students like to work with when their academics are finished.
Again, thank you so much for your generosity and donations towards our classroom efforts. My eyes have been opened to the role math, science, and technology positively impacts the classroom environment. We all appreciate these donations that are allowing us to explore the STEM areas more in depth with the materials that were provided. Thank you!”

Mrs. Austin
