I envision a class with ipads where students can display their thinking, be able to share it electronically and listen to math lessons with headphones as many times as needed both as a class, in small group and independently. My students are at a disadvantage; the chrome book takes a longer time to write down information and the video can only be played as a whole class. This sounds great for a class that has all necessary technology. My students were using chrome books but they just received chrome books. However, we need the headphones, stylist pens, and case. I use nearpod.com platform where students can show their work and watch videos. Students can write with the stylist pen to make their work visible online and have their thinking come to life. More time can be spent on the concept now because the stylist pens work like a regular pen. Students can spend more time sharing what they are thinking and see their peers thinking all at once. Furthermore, if students have headphones, they don't have to just listen as a class, they now can have the opportunity to listen to each lesson repeatedly to reinforce what was taught. Many students are auditory learners and this will give all students access to great education by meeting all student needs. Even more, when I am working in small groups, I can have a listening center. The cases will be housed in each group and used as a bin to store the headphones when they are not in use. Help make the world a better place by starting with just a small gesture. Your good will not go unnoticed. You are appreciated!
