  • Organization Is Key in Kindergarten

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity and support. My students were so excited when they came to school and saw the storage unit/cubby!

This unit not only has all of their daily math and literacy materials centrally located, but now everything is organized in such a way, that they can now get their materials independently, and can also put their materials back without asking me for assistance.

Fostering independence in Kindergarten is critical, and because of your support, that is now possible. Thank you for demonstrating to my students how we can support and help others.

Your donation has put a smile on my students' faces and made our classroom more organized and efficient! I truly appreciate your support in helping to make our students' educational experiences more meaningful and manageable!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Weiner

This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors & Young Sheldon on CBS and one other donor.
  • Learning Centers in Kindergarten

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

I want to thank you for funding my project. Although we remain virtual for now, the materials you funded will have a huge impact on my students when we return to school.

These materials will enable my students to practice many of the foundational skills they learn in kindergarten, which include patterns, sorting, counting, colors, shapes, corners/sides/angles, and being able to manipulate the objects to explain their reasoning. The materials will be used daily in both whole group and small group instruction.

I'm confident that when we return to school, these materials will aid the success of my students. Thank you again for your generosity. It is truly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Weiner

I will be teaching 30 rising Kindergarten students from diverse backgrounds. These children always come to school so excited and eager to learn. This coming year, my students will be learning in a hybrid model, so they will be at school some days and home on other days. These materials will allow me to make math tool kits for each child, so that they can use the materials and practice the skills they are learning; whether they are at home or in the classroom. Due to the pandemic, my students will not be allowed to share materials and will have to observe social distancing. Therefore, these centers will allow them to complete hands-on learning activities without having to share materials.
