This classroom project was brought to life by Volkswagen and 7 other donors.Growing Minds With Building Blocks
Funded Dec 26, 2018Thank you so much for funding my project, Growing Minds with Building Blocks. Teaching STEM to K2 to grade 3 is so exciting. I am proud to say that all of the students look forward to coming to STEM class. In STEM their creativity, intelligence and energy all or combined to provide them with a hands on learning approach that is both engaging and rigorous. What a blessing when we teachers have the needed to foster such learning environments. The students are going to love these blocks and legos as part of our unit in Simple Structures.
Your kindness and support are truly appreciated. Thank you for your commitment to educating the future engineers.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Morales
Fresh Start to SY
Funded Sep 17, 2014My Students and I are so grateful for your donation. It made it possible to receive the awesome resources and materials you see in the pictures. The students have improved in the automaticity of their math facts because on a daily basis they use the dry erase pocket charts to practice them while they wait for their turn to use the bathroom. They love using these and although is hard to keep up with the amount of dry erase markers they use, I am saving copy paper by reusing the sheets as they go inside the pockets and get rotated and reused.
The Guide Reading table has been a tremendous addition to have the small reading groups. Now, I can seat all of them around me and have plenty of space for each to work independently or with partners. Before, I had to build this reading area by combining different size tables in some sort of horse shoe shape to be able to see all the readers. Now, problem solved!!!
You do not see pictures of the SamsungTablet being used, because that item has not been delivered yet. I apologize for not providing you with evidence of this resource at the moment.
Again, I am very grateful for your kindness and your support to our young generation of learners. Every year we are asked to do more with less. Knowing that supporting people like you are out there, brings hope and excitement to this very important vocation.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Morales
