My students are a diverse groups with many different needs. School is an escape for many of my students because their home life is not supportive to their needs. Of the 509 students attending my school, 89% of students come from low income families and receive free or reduced school lunch. My school is located in a low income part of the a city where parent involvement is not a priority or something that is part of the school life.
