  • Glow Lab!

    Funded Jan 1, 2025

I greatly appreciate the donations given to my project. The students will enjoy getting to use these items. The items for this project will allow students to conduct an investigation in our Energy Unit by using the black lights, glow sticks, and hot/cold water. Again, thank you for your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Adcock

  • Interactive Science Notebooks!

    Funded May 15, 2023

We have been using our composition notebooks since the first week of school. I originally was just going use if for a science interactive notebook, and I decided just a couple of weeks ago to use the back half of the notebook for social studies. So far we have recorded three lab experiments in the science part of the notebook. In social studies we are using the G.R.A.P.E.S. of Civilizations for each place we study. When we finish studying all of our Ancient Civilizations we can compare their G.R.A.P.E.S. to see how each civilization was different.”

  • Building Curriculum!

    Funded Apr 12, 2022

Thank you all for your donations to my class project. With this project getting funded I have been able to purchase items of TeachersPayTeachers.com to continue building my curriculum. We have been doing digital escape rooms, glow lab with glow sticks, and even build solar ovens to finish off our thermal energy unit. It is hard to say which activities the kids loved the most. As you can see from my pictures all activities I purchased from TpT were greatly enjoyed by all students. Interactive activities were a great way for the students to learn.”

  • Interactive Science Notebooks

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

My students use interactive notebooks on a daily basis in science and social studies. I feel like these notebooks allow the students to be more involved with their learning when they are creating foldables, taking notes, and writing down their lab findings during an experiment.

It means so much that students will not have to purchase these notebooks for my class. Our class supply list can quite lengthy for some students when it comes to purchasing all their supplies at the beginning of the year.”

  • Energize 6th Grade Science!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

My students have began using some of the materials that were ordered from this project. We have made solar ovens using the foil and plastic wrap. The students were able to make the ovens from some of the materials ordered, and make smores. We had a beautiful warm day outside to achieve this goal.

It's always interesting to see the students' faces when the materials start coming in. I always open the boxes in front of the kids to see their excitement and try to figure out what we would be doing with those materials.

I was also able to order some materials for next year since the beakers were not available at this time. I ordered a lot of construction paper for my students to make animal and plant cells.”

  • Digital Learning in 6th Grade!

    Funded Sep 28, 2021

I have been able to order some digital activities and escape rooms for my science and social studies class. We have used some of these already in class.

One of the digital escape rooms we were able to get from TpT was used this last week in class after we finished our Water Cycle unit. The students and their teams had a great time competing against each other to see who would win. They even want to change up the teams to see who would win the second time.

The digital escape rooms and activities have been a great way for my students to learn. I can't wait to find more activities for them to enjoy while learning.”

  • Interactive Notebooks!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

The students really enjoyed getting use some of the digital interactive notebooks we have gotten to use during this unusual COVID year. We have been in school all year with some weeks being blended learning and working from home.

I was able to use the TeachersPayTeachers to order some digital projects, lesson, and interactive digital notebooks. One of the projects we did was a Digital President Research project during a blended learning week. The students were able to do the work from home along with videos I made to walk them through their lesson.

Another lesson that we are doing now is learning about the 5 regions of the United States. I was able to order digital notebooks, and states and capitals google forms for the students to use on google classroom. Students have done well doing the digital side of learning this year.”

  • Our Constitution!

    Funded May 5, 2020

I greatly appreciate the donations for our class project I had every intention of doing with all my fourth grade social studies classes this fall. Due to COVID-19 I was not able to allow the students to share the set of books to do our week long lesson on The Constitution. My plans were for the students to read a chapter at a time with each other and complete daily activities based on the chapters they were reading. We have been both in school and blended learning at home. I hope that we get back to somewhat normal during this school year, and use the books as planned.”

  • For the Love of Science!

    Funded May 6, 2020

I so appreciate the donations to my project. I have yet to use them in my classroom due to the pandemic which means the students aren't allowed to cross contaminate their belongings or work together on projects. While we are happy to be back together in class we still have to maintain our social distance and wear a mask. I plan to use the supplies ordered with your donations as soon as we are back to normal doing normal projects with a partner or a small group. The students are excited about the materials we received with your donations.”

  • Our Future Scientists & Engineers!

    Funded Jul 29, 2019

My students have enjoyed making their science projects! We have just completed the eye experiment. The students used the magnifying card to see how the eye can works. They were fascinated with how what we see is upside down when it hits the retina. They were excited to take their eye model home to show their families. Our next experiment will be to use the batteries and LED light to design a flashlight. This is always an enjoyable experiment for my students.

Thank you for your donation. We couldn't be more appreciative!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Adcock

My students live in a rural area in the delta. Some families travel across the delta so their parents can find work on another farm. Many families aren't able to purchase extra materials sometimes needed for school, and for many students the only books they read are in the classroom.
