I teach a second grade class at a wonderful Title I school in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our school serves approximately 550 students from TK through Fifth grade. Each year, my class is composed of students from varying socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Many of our students are second language learners, adding to the diversity and rich cultural experience of our population. I love the way the students, families, and teachers at our site come together to create a welcoming, academically rigorous, supportive environment. My current class is very motivated and excited about learning. They are curious, hard-working, goal oriented, and resilient! I stirve to provide my students with all the tools and skills they need to be successful. I am so appreciative to those who are supportive of our public schools and willing to join me in this endeavor.
