  • Cheering Our Way To The Top

    Funded Apr 17, 2024

It is just like having a second family! Having to work together may seem like a chore, but it is actually really fun and at the same time, it helps you to learn how to work with other people. Working together in cheerleading comes in two parts – stunting and planning a routine together. Both of which are super fun!

Cheerleading is a unique team sport on the most level playing field. When everyone on a cheer team is expected to perform the same skills to an equal standard there can be no 'star' players. And no stunt or pyramid will happen without just a little bit of team cohesion and effort! When tired or hurt, any member of the team is expected and will push themselves to continue their routine to their highest standard - for the benefit of the team. Our scorecard is based on every man on the team doing their job to the best of their ability. No dropping stunts or pulling out of tumble passes here!”

  • Reading to New Heights...Help Me Grow

    Funded Mar 19, 2024

Thank you for your generosity in helping my students read more. Reaching new heights with imagination and creativity. The books are an excellent source and outlet for many students who only see their teachers more than they see their parents.

When students read more, know more, they can achieve more. It is our goal and promise to help students succeed in school. Opening their eyes and imagintion through reading is a start.

Your continued help, support, and donations make this all possible. People don't realize how much help we need from donors to be as successful in the classroom. We thank you and we appreciate you ALWAYS.”

    Funded Jan 12, 2024

Thank you for helping me show students how much they mean to us! Your generosity is amazing and deeply appreciated. The impact you make on the lives of our young generation is tremendous. The students are gaining more hands-on experience in the classroom. They are able to share what they have learned with family and friends.

Learning has become fun again and students are excited to be in school. As they grow, what they learn in the classroom will have a lasting effect on their lives. My current project is to help young girls with feminine hygiene products and any help is appreciated!”

  • Feeding Students Daily Needs

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Research has shown that compassion and kindness are deeply rooted in human nature–our first impulse is to cooperate rather than compete. Even toddlers spontaneously help people in need out of genuine concern for their welfare. This innate kindness, however, often gets lost in a society built on competition. Schools have a golden opportunity to cultivate the compassionate side of students by creating a school culture in which kindness is valued and practiced.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."

Children's understanding of kindness and compassion change as they mature. For example, their ability to be compassionate grows as they develop their perspective-taking ability and emotion regulation.

Elementary age students and younger may view kindness mainly in concrete ways, such as in terms of the consequences of actions; whereas, older children and teens can appreciate the intentions behind the actions, allowing them to better navigate complex situations.”

  • Let's Snack About It

    Funded Aug 21, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity. The look and gratefulness on the student's face means the world to me knowing they have snacks and water when they need it at school. So many of our students come to school for a hot meal. I appreciate the time you took to donate to the project. The students share their snacks with other students as well who do not have any.

The students are thankful for a snack before they go home and are glad to have water which keeps them hydrated instead of drinking soda or juice.”

  • Welcome to the Team

    Funded May 10, 2022

Cheerleading is a team sport – a bond will naturally form between you and your teammates as you work together day in and day out. These friendships makes cheerleading extremely fun! You get to stunt together, share the problems you face and most importantly, you have the same passion.

Cheerleading is a great cardio workout! Cheers typically only last a couple of minutes so it is necessary to repeat high-energy routines. Choreography contains not only dance but also tumbles, jumps and sometimes stunts, all which require great stamina especially to maintain a big smile throughout the routine as well!”

  • A Tropical Celebration

    Funded Mar 10, 2022

The students have been smiling since they received the resources. We are so thankful and grateful to you and your help. The excitement from the students was amazing. They immediately began working on "The Tropical Celebration." They have even collaborated with other students to get them involved and show them how the resources were being used.

This project has led students by helping others build stronger social ties with their friends and community, create more kindness, and they feel happier when they help others.”

    With gratitude,

Hand to Hand and Hand in Hand I teach 9-12th grade Biology and Environmental Science in a school where 80% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. My students are extremely eager in learning and MANY questions are asked on a daily basis. It is ALWAYS rewarding as well as encouraging to know students enjoy my class and to see that "light bulb" go off when they grasp a concept or are able to self-correct themselves.
