Kindergarteners Just Like To Have Fun!
Funded Jan 22, 2017Thank you again for your donations! The children are really enjoying their new center activities. When we received these new "games", their faces lit up with joy! They love to learn through play.
The literacy activities are enhancing their sight word fluency, word family skills, beginning sounds, and word building. The math activities are improving their knowledge immensely, with counting games, ten frame practice, and addition and subtraction word problems.
These are all imperative concepts for kindergrtners to learn now because the Common Core Learning Standards require these foundation skills. Thank you all again for your generosity, words cannot describe how grateful I am of you and your kindness!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Brunetti
Wiggly Learners
Funded Oct 13, 2016My kiddies and I are really enjoying these brand new yoga balls as alternate seating! Their faces lit up as I introduced it all. We have 24 children divided amongst 5 tables so in order to share the 5 new seats, we take turns each day so each child gets a turn once a week! They are learning to take turns and share. I chose this as my project because there are a number of children with varying special needs and these seats offer them a chance to wiggle around while getting their work done. It's a fun alternate for them and they enjoy staying in their seats, which all teachers know how important that is! I can't wait to see how it improves their attention!”
