Through the Yearbook Lens
Funded Aug 7, 2014Our classroom has recently received our new Canon EOS 60D camera because of your generosity, and it has done nothing short of reenergize, excite, and create an amazing sense of competition among by staff and especially my photographers. My photography staff now has the ability to use a professional level camera while taking pictures of our student body; they have been able to learn new photography techniques, along with the practical mechanical skills of using a high-end camera. My other staff members are now able to select and use higher quality pictures for their pages, which will in turn create a more professional looking yearbook for our school and our community.
It has been fun to see my photographers create a friendly competition with who gets to use the camera, who can take better pictures with it, and who can learn new components of the camera to help them take better photos. This competitive edge has also led to students teaching one another how to better use the camera, thus serving the staff as a whole.
In the future, we certainly hope to give students access to more devices like this, but for the time being our gratitude is infinite. It really has helped bring a phenomenal and useful resource to my classroom.
I am incredibly thankful for your kindness and generosity in helping my students.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Barocas
