I teach several highly gifted students in the fifth grade. These students visit me daily from various homeroom classes where they receive an hour of curriculum meeting the Mississippi Gifted Standards. We practice critical thinking, problem solving, and creative thinking through various projects. Projects include financial literacy, a cultural unit, community service, bridge building, and creating plays. Discussion and asking "why" is a big part of our class time as well. We find ways to truly make learning FUN, and focus on meeting the specific needs and gifts of each student. These are students who enjoy learning and growing every day!
