2nd Grade: Journey to Success!

Thank you so much for supporting our school. Many parents and students commented on how warm and inviting our classroom was with much needed materials like the map, books, and bookshelves. My students are so excited each day to write in their personal writing journals and track their progress and growth as writers. I even had one student who upon receiving his own whiteboard and marker shouted "I always wanted one of these!"

We use our resources daily. Our whiteboards and markers have become our most valued resource as it makes for fun and engaging learning and allows me to check for understanding of their learning. Our writing journals have provided much needed space to write our writing lessons, brainstorm new ideas, and just simply write. My students are having fun watching their writing go through the writing process with their journals to help guide and remind them of what good writers do. Lastly, our books in our library are neatly stored in bookshelves and help us stay organized and feel motivated to read.
