I am a special education teacher in a D75 school. I have six student with autism.My students are nonverbal and struggle to communicate which results in unwanted disruptive inappropriate behavior. Through the use of assistive and accessible technology my goal is to help my students with special needs overcome the challenges faced by children who dont have a voice. Nonverbal students can communicate using alternative communication technology; students with physical disabilities can take advantage of the accessibility features of iPads and Google Apps for Education can helps students with learning disabilities or other challenges.
