These materials will provide my students with engaging opportunities in ELA during partnerships, small groups as well as 1:1 instruction.

  • Listen To Any Good Books Lately?

    This donation has been a wonderful addition to my classroom. Having a listening center for my students who are learning English as a second language is an additional exposure to not only the English language but also to the conversational flow which is used in speaking. I have a block of time during the day where i am doing intensive interventions with small groups of students while others are working independently at their desks and stations throughout the room. The listening center is now one of the centers where students can be working independently or with a peer while i am doing intensive small group instruction.”

My classroom, along with the rest of the building, is a community who are majority non-English speakers who have multiple socio-economic issues. These children need the opportunity to be exposed to as much academic and higher level vocabulary as possible.
