Making a Difference in 2nd Grade

Our students have loved using the flexible seating tools and writing resources daily during our rotations. These additions to our classroom have brought such joy to my students. Our testing tents have helped us stay focused during our assignments. Our stem bin manipulatives have encouraged creative thinking, strategizing, and cooperative collaboration amongst students. We look forward to using them again next year in third grade. Your donations have had a big impact on my students' learning this year. Thank you for everything!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Perry and Donna Golkin Family Foundation and 5 other donors.

My 2nd grade students are returning to our classroom after being displaced for 48 days due to Hurricane Ida. Many of these students have suffered severe damage of their homes, along with that of our school and classroom. Through your donation, these materials will be used to recreate a sense of normalcy for my students during independent work, flexible seating, and small group instruction. Helping to rebuild our positive and nurturing classroom environment is key to my students' overall academic, social, and emotional success. We greatly appreciate your kind donations!
