Copy That
Funded Sep 18, 2024Somewhere in Rockaway Queens NY is a classroom where 29 students are benefitting from having a new piece of technology in their classroom. This is all thanks to your generous donation of a brand new printer/ copier.
No longer do I have to plan 2 weeks in advance for copies from my school, or fave to bother a colleague for copies or important documents that must be printed or copied . This may not sound like a big deal, but this is a huge source of stress for many teachers (myself included )
The impact of your donation has been felt immediately. My students are a diverse learning community with different learning styles. My visual and kinesthetic learners benefit immensely by having a hard copy in front of them where they can practice a new skill or become more proficient at an already learned skill. Being able to print graphic organizers versus having kids make their own has proven to be a valuable time saver for our class.
Please know that the impact of your donation is felt every day by all 29 of my students. (And sometimes by students in other classes too). Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Shaban

Funded Aug 26, 2014I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation. Your donation has already begun to make a difference in my classroom. I have created a sharing schedule that allows all the students in my class to benefit from the technology.
Many of my students use the laptop for remedial Math and English Language Arts (ELA). Other students use it as enrichment to learn new vocabulary or play math games. Some students use the laptop as a behavioral reward for good behavior or focused work throughout the school day.
I have seen a positive impact in the desire to learn in all my students. They all now have the same educational opportunities and resources as students from more privileged backgrounds. This was exactly my intent; to level the educational playing field, so to speak. While I only have permission to photograph a few of my students, they have all written thank you letters (I know you chose not to receive letters). We are all truly grateful for your generosity.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Shaban
