My students are the definition of 21st century learners. Their whole lives revolve around technology. However, we do not have the resources at our school to put computers into the classrooms for students everyday use. We have computer labs that are difficult to get into. Reading is so much more exciting when you are reading and doing your work online! By incorporating Chromebooks into the classroom, I will be able to motivate and engage the students in their own learning! We will use the Google Chromebooks’ technology to promote student-centered learning and increase student engagement and motivation. Student-centered learning allows students to actively participate in the learning process, and assists in promoting student engagement and motivation in the classroom. The Chromebooks will allow us to effectively incorporate the Common Core State Standards that call for students to present ideas and information using multimedia components.
