Our country has been hit with a virus that is like no other. How do we keep our students safe and create an atmosphere that is conducive for learning? As an educator, my students become my kids. I care about their well-being and will do whatever it takes to help them be successful in life. So in retrospect, I would appreciate masks for my students who cannot afford to buy masks because my school is located in a low income area of the island where many parents have lost their jobs or struggle to put food on the table. I don't want my students to miss school because they don't have a mask. As we enter into unprecedented times, we need to stay safe and keep our children safe from the coronavirus. I would also like a HEPA filter to keep the air clean and safe in the classroom so our children can learn in an environment where they don't have to worry but can focus on the learning that is occurring in the classroom. As an educator, I would like to give my students a safe environment in these times of uncertainty.
