  • iCan Become an Entrepreneur with an iPad

    Funded Mar 12, 2018

I cannot thank you enough for the extremely generous donation of the Apple iPad for my classroom.

My students are beyond excited to use this in our classroom. Students have a lack of technology at home and look forward to coming to school and class each day to get to use technology and see all it has to offer. Students are exposed to a multitude of programs and interactive learning. Technology allows students with diverse learning needs and various abilities to find an approach and style that works for them.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Randazzo

  • MacBook Air to Show You Care

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Working in a school like I do, kids are not lucky enough to have new and up to date technology at home. In my VE classroom, students learn technological skills as well as what creating a business entails and then actually create and run their own company in the 8th grade. With the help of the Macbook air, students are able to use the latest technology and programs to create company brochures, flyers, catalogs, commercials, and so much more. Thank you so much for your overly generous donation and making myself and my students happy!”

    Ms. Randazzo

  • Creating Math Gems Through S.T.E.M

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for the class set of Boogie Boards. My students always HATE to show work. I tried using white boards but markers kept drying out and erasers didn't work. By getting this boogie boards, my students love coming to math class. It is amazing to see how excited kids get to use them instead of paper and pencil! The students love showing work because they are able to use these boards! FINALLY! Thank you from both myself and my classes. I appreciate each and every donation given to us!”

  • Ready, Set, LEGO!! Robotics Stem Education

    Funded Apr 20, 2016

I can not thank you enough for the macbook for my students. Students are now able to use up to date programs which allow them to use their programming skills and acquire new ones.

The students love the fact at how quickly they are able to transfer programs to their autonomous robots. They are able to try out different strategies and are not worried that their programs will crash.

More students have started to come to the after school program and have even applied to computer science programs in high schools.”

  • Transforming Children's Lives One Robot at a Time

    Funded May 18, 2016

On behalf of myself and my students, I cannot thank you enough. The difference your donation has made to my classroom is unable to be expressed in words. The students look for any opportunity to come to class or after school to complete their work. Students have taken interest in learning and teaching themselves new programming given the availability to new technology in our classroom.

I look forward to continuing to enhance my students learning with new and up to date technology. Thank you again for your generosity and devotion to my students!”

    With gratitude,

  • Creating Math Gems through S.T.E.M.

    Funded May 18, 2016

It is amazing the impact something as simple as a Boogie Board can have on the students in my classroom. Students actually look forward to the work period because they are able to use the Boogie Boards to show work. Students use them to work together or independently. I no longer have to hear that a student does not have paper or a pencil. They even seem to come more prepared now!

Thank you so much for your extremely generous donation. Students LOVE math class and enjoy coming each day and even WANT to work. This makes my job even more rewarding!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Randazzo

  • iCan With an iPad

    Funded Dec 18, 2015

I can not explain the difference the iPad has made in my mathematics classroom. Students look forward to coming to class just for the chance they can use the iPad (it changes each day).

In my ESL class, students are able to work in a group and have resources available to them in their language. My special education students are able to have a visual, hands on learning experience.

Students can not believe that someone would be so generous as to donate an iPad for our classes use. They love the fact that they are able to actually have and use the newest technology around. They are astonished at how much the iPad can actually do and how much fun learning can be.

I can not thank you enough for your generosity. I wish you could be a fly on the wall to see the excitement when I pull the name of a specific student or a group of students who will be working on the iPad for the day, or just to hear the students as they enter the room and rush to be ready to be able to get a chance to use the iPad.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Randazzo

  • Multimedia Mathematics

    Funded Jun 27, 2014

I cannot thank you all enough for the generous donations made to fulfill my project. The new classroom addition of the Microsoft Surface has made a significant impact in all of my classes.

My students come from homes that are not fortunate enough to have technology. Although our school is a Title one school, we do not have readily available technology for use in each classroom. The surface has provided me with the opportunity to allow students time each day to embark on a different journey through math then they are accustomed to.

Students are able to see the millions of resources available to them via the internet. Students can work on skills while the rest of the class focuses on a hands on project. During a class project, students can use the surface for research. Students who show little interest in education have grown to love math because of the technology component you have donated to us.

Words cannot express the joy this has brought to my students, and more so to myself to be able to see it being used and the impact it has made in such a short time.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Randazzo

Many of the students in my school are struggling financially. Most students in the school (+65%) qualify for the state's free or reduced meal program. Often times, the students come into school without the necessary materials to succeed in school. My school has suffered again from budget cuts and teachers are no longer able to personally give each student the resources they desire. I do not want my students to go without. My students are diverse learners and I need a technology component to meet the demands of modern teaching.
