Reading achievement gaps are directly affected by the lack of literacy engagement. This Project will help narrow this gap within my room. The classroom library is place where kids make their own decisions. These decision will help the students cultivate new talents and grow up to be empathetic citizens. By providing them with a diverse collection of books they will be able to attain both. These books will not only inspire them to think, they will aid them as they shape their worlds. I will have 24 students next year and every one of them will reap the many benefits (dialects, cultural tradition, values, etc.) of a diverse collection of books.
