• Engaging First Graders With Math Calendars and Learning Centers

  I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation of the math centers. Your gift has made a tremendous impact on my students and their learning experience.

  The math centers are incredibly engaging and fun, and they have made learning math concepts so much easier for my students. In particular, the calendar math station has become a huge hit! I use it every day to explore and solidify my students' understanding of place value, equations, and word problems. It's also been invaluable for teaching essential calendar skills.

  The hands-on nature of the centers has sparked a real enthusiasm for math in my classroom. Students are actively participating, problem-solving, and collaborating in ways I haven't seen before. I am witnessing a deeper understanding and a genuine love for learning.

• We Are in a Class! Elephant and Piggie Books

  I cannot tell you how wonderful our new Piggie and Gerald books are! My kids eagerly anticipate any free minutes they can find to visit our class libraries and read these books.

  The puppets are adorable, and my students love using them to practice reading the stories to each other.

  Our Pigeon plushie serves as our mascot and supervises all the kids. He doesn't have to do much, as the children are so engaged. The books are perfect for their reading level, and I cannot express how much we love them.”

• Basic Supplies equal a Bright Start

  Thank you so much for the supplies! It's wonderful to have a well-organized place to keep everything ready for our students. The colorful bins help them identify their supplies and know where to find them. The bins are fantastic, and the colors also indicate where to turn in their work.

  The pencil holder is amazing and makes getting pencils fun. The kids can't wait to take on the responsibility of managing the pencils; they love being the "pencil captain." These small items bring joy and efficiency to our classroom.

• Keen on Composition Books

  Thank you so much for the composition books.

  Since we were unable to return to school in person the composition books became very valuable for those with little to no supplies.

  Some of our students embellished and collage the covers of their composition books and made them very personal works of art. Students were able to take notes and sketch in their books. It was a way for them to keep organized during a very unorganized year. It also served to create a record or time capsule of the craziness that was 2020.”

• Drawing at a Distance

  Distance learning has been difficult for my students this year. To give them the experience of being in the classroom, being able to provide our students with art supplies has been instrumental.

  Thank you for supplying each one of my students with materials to be able to create art at home. It has been a real blessing to provide our students with some normalcy during these crazy times.

  We have been using the supplies to learn about the elements of art, principles of design, to learn new drawing techniques, and to create art.”

• Creating Art Even Though We Are Apart

  My students were very excited to receive art supplies for class. Learning form home has not been easy, so having some supplies has made the experience feel a little more like being in the classroom.

  They have enjoyed using the pastels to learn about color and value. These are mediums they don't have access to on a typical day so when they use them it makes the experience so much more special. It has helped lesson the feeling that they are learning at home instead of in the classroom.

• Starting the Year off Right!

  Thank you so much for your donation. The students are all equipped with pencils and erasers and are excited about the school year. All of my students are prepared to take notes, write reflection, and create art. No one is unprepared, no one is too embarrassed to ask for supplies.

  The pencil sharpener has been a blessing. Students are able to quickly sharpen their pencils and get back to work. No more antiquated metal sharpeners which ate more of the pencil than it did sharpen.

  Such simple supplies, but such a great impact.”
