Our school is a snapshot of modern America: we are truly diverse, with students from all walks of life coming together each day. They are curious about how to play an active role in their community, and are learning how to model exemplary behavior. In my class, we call this the Heroic Code, which consists of: Courage & Confidence: Students are bold, brave, and daring -- they have the confidence to try new things and to stand up and do the right thing. Scholarship: Students are committed to learning. They are constantly challenging themselves as readers, writers, and speakers of English. Resourcefulness: Where there's a will, there's a way! Students will model leadership skills by always looking for new ways to accomplish their goals. Kindness & Respect: In this class, we are a team -- we can only make real progress if we make it together. Because of that, students build each other up by showing kindness, respect, and love to each other.
