I teach fourth grade, all subjects, in a title 1 school. Funding is always an issue - we have lots of technology, but we don't always have the pen and paper and the building block type resources for a great education. I am asking for Weekly Readers for each week so that we can bring real life into the classroom and that students can conceptualize what happens beyond our four walls and beyond their community. I always want my students to see the bigger picture - and learning to read non-fiction through real life events will help immensely with this.
