I have the honor of teaching 20 beautiful transitional kindergartners every day. TK is for students that are too young to enter Kindergarten but old enough that another year of pre-k would not be appropriate. My students start at age 4 and end the year as 5 year olds. I teach on a small military installation in the middle of the Mojave desert. It takes 30-45 minutes to get to the next rural town. We are remote which makes it extremely important to provide quality experiences in the classroom. Nearly all of my students have a parent that is currently serving in the Army. About half of my students have a father that is gone 10-14 days every month. Despite the constant changes and remoteness of our community these students come to school excited everyday and ready to learn! This class inspires me to always bring my best because they deserve it!
