My students are K-1 children with disabilities. We are so lucky to have a class in our building which really supports our different learners. The students in my class learn best visually and with hands on materials. We work in small group centers in all academic areas. My students are provided with grade level curriculum which is modified to suit their needs. I believe the more experiences I give them within the classroom will help them throughout their academic career. I am continuously exposing them to technology, that's why I am looking for a listening center for my classroom. I believe my students will thrive in their reading experience if they are provided with a fluent, vivid reader. A listening center will offer another area within the classroom where they can continue to work on objectives. They will be able to listen to a variety of texts, work with peers, and listen as stories come alive!
