Turn On Our Super Power Minds With X-rays Vision
Funded Sep 7, 2023Thank you so much for helping my students turn on their Super Power Minds With X-ray Vision and various ways to sort and count. My students enjoyed learning and exploring with these different educational materials, and they were very helpful for my non-English speakers. Also, my students loved drawing and tracing numbers, letters, and objects. We were also able to view X-rays from various animals and humans to compare and contrast. The students loved learning that animals and humans have bones of many sizes. We used our light table with these counter materials and it looked amazing. It was a fantastic way to entice my Pre-K Students to count and investigate! It engaged their sense of sight, makes regular activities more fun, and I was able to teach math and science topics in a unique way. These counters made it an exciting way to count, sort and make many patterns. The sense of sight is just as important as the sense of touch! Thank you so much for all the joy your gift made in our Pre-K Classroom.”

Funded Sep 10, 2023The light table was a fantastic way to entice Pre-K Students to count and investigate! It engaged my students' sense of sight, made regular activities more fun, and were able to learn math and science topics in a different way. This wooden table made an exciting addition to our other types of sensory tables, such as a sandbox and rice box. The sense of sight is just as important as the sense of touch! My non -English students were also able to learn and explore using these different educational materials. They loved it!

Funded Apr 28, 2014My students were so excited and couldn't wait to see all the materials that came in. I created microscope stations and at each station students were able to observe each group of slides. We discussed and shared the various slides. My students enjoyed the insects and natural fiber slides the most. They were able to shares similarities and differences among the slides. They illustrated and wrote many details observed.
When I explained what an owl pellet was several student did not want to even touch them. However, when I explained and showed the posters from the owl kit they were brave to begin. Everyone started to dissect and I heard them eager to identify the types of rodents they had. These resources helped them make several observations and they were able and eager to share what they found among their peers.
The butterfly habitat was such a delight to have in class. From the moment it arrived, the students observed the little caterpillars in the cups. The students each day recorded and illustrated their observations. They could not believe how quickly the caterpillars grew and were less active. Then when the caterpillars became pupas the students estimated when they would see the butterflies. All our butterflies made it and were released.
The rocks & minerals kit did not come in on time due to the company not having this item anymore. However, I was able to reorder them this year and when we get to our Earth Science lessons we will use these kits to help us explore the rock cycle.
I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. My students did a lot of studying this year and thanks to your generosity their science topics, finally came alive around them!”
