I teach in a kindergarten English Language Development (ELD) classroom. I have 25 students who are all learning the English language. The majority of these students are living in high poverty. We are a full Title-1 school. We need to increase our reading and math scores and I believe it all begins in the kindergarten classroom. We come from an area that many consider to be wealthy but unfortunately that wealth is not reaching the classrooms. These children need updated materials and programs to help keep the learning fun and up-to-date.
